General Tools & Instruments Co. a leading supplier of specialty hand tools for the Hardware and Woodworking markets announces the release of the E•Z Pocket Hole Jig Kit as a complimentary addition to General’s expanding line of Woodworking Tools.

The kit is the perfect addition to any woodworker’s bench. With it you’ll be able to produce strong, attractive joints in a multitude of applications, eliminating clamping and gluing. With this kit and your drill, you’ll need a hole in only one work piece. Then, with the simple alignment of your work pieces, you drive home the supplied self-taping square drive screws for a rock-solid joint. There is no need for a pilot hole in the mating work piece.

In a move to solidify its position in the woodworking tools market, General Tools acquired this innovative tool through the acquisition of manufacturer Simp’l Products. In Simp'l Products, General has acquired a line of patented woodworking tools and jigs for both professionals and do-it-yourselfers. These tools fit seamlessly alongside their already popular line of woodworking tools, which have been relied upon by craftsmen and carpenters for decades.

“We chose to pursue Simp’l Products because of the creative tools they offer,” said Joe Ennis, CEO of General Tools & Instruments. “We believe that these items will significantly benefit the professional and do-it-yourself customers that currently rely on tools from our woodworking line.”
