Moisture Meter Brochure
Detecting unseen moisture in many types of materials and products—from lumber to hardened concrete to stored foods—can be a difficult but critically important task. Fortunately, a new family of moisture meters from General Tools & Instruments offers a range of solutions to fit every job and every budget.
General Tools now has more than a dozen precision electronic moisture meters to suit a variety of commercial applications. With digital numeric readouts and bright LED indicators, and with accuracy down to one percent, these instruments are designed for professionals in woodworking, agricultural and industrial channels, and for anyone who requires pin-point accuracy when measuring moisture content in wood, timber, concrete, soil, grain and a wide range of other materials.
The hand-held instruments line includes specialty meters, such as microprocessor-controlled penetrative meters for highly sensitive measurements and radio wave technology for non-invasive, fast yet sensitive measuring. This line offers moisture measuring solutions to a wide variety of industries including timber, construction, pharmaceutical and agricultural, and can measure nearly any porous object including, gypsum, plaster, paper, cotton, carpets, pharmaceutical products, furniture, agricultural products, soil and sub-flooring.
These specialty meters have easy-to-read liquid crystal displays or color-coded LED bar graphs, or both displays in the same unit, for dependably accurate measurement. Many of the instruments can be used with a selection of optional, interchangeable probes, including heavy-duty penetrating probes and non-invasive roller-type probes (accessories are sold separately).
General Tools also offers the All-in-One Deluxe Moisture Meter Kit (MM70D – 7022 Kit) which includes the MM70D Precision Digital Moisture Meter with a selection of interchangeable pin-type and non-penetrative extension probes in a convenient hard-plastic carrying case.
Additional information on the family of moisture meters can be found on the General Tools & Instruments Web site, www.generaltools.com. These instruments are available through industrial distributors and at many professional supply houses, and may be purchased directly from the General Web site. They range in price between $50 and $550.
